Project Life is GO - all products are now available.
It's a match made in heaven - Stampin' Up's famous colour co-ordination, stamps and accessories and Becky Higgins' brilliant and simple memory keeping system.
All product lines are now available for purchase.
The range includes everything you need, from albums and divided pages to journaling pens, corner rounder punch, card sets and more. There's even a set of Framelits to create your own pocket inserts. I haven't scrapbooked in a traditional way for a few years now, (aside from the irresistable classes at escape2create). It takes too long, and my photos were piling up so much faster than I could manage. I ummed and ahh'ed about Project Life, liking the simplicity of the concept, but with such an investment in Stampin' Up products, I was reluctant to start something new. When the preorder came along for demonstrators, I thought I would give it a go. I managed to create some 14 pages in a day, and I am well on my way to taming those photos. It's so much nicer to have them in albums than stacked away in paper envelopes. You can keep it as simple as sliding photos in the pockets with a journaling card per page to track the details, or you can get creative with stamping, accents and embellishments. For digi-creators, there are even MDS versions of the cards and stamps It's flexible like that :-)
The video above gives an intro into the features and benefits, so contact me to order when you've decided which design you like best. Or, you can view and shop the range online - too easy!

My first attempt at the Blendabilities - a new product line coming in the 2014-15 catalogue. I've dabbled very briefly with alcohol markers before, and have a few copics and kuretake markers, but because I didn't have 'enough' colours to blend with, it seemed more like standard colouring in! And the colours didn't match the patterned papers, cardstock and embellishments I wanted to use them with. So, like the forgotten scrapping photos, they have languished...
At the recent Inspire Create Share Convention in Melbourne, a set of three Blendabilities markers and the Blended Bloom stamp were given away to every attendee. I added Old Olive and Daffodil Delight marker trios to my Demonstrator Pre-order, and had a play. I forgot to get the magical 'Color Lifter' though, so made do with another brand. It gave a more 'rustic' look to the flower than I intended, or maybe it was the rusty applicator?? In any case, I simply built a rustic style card around it. . The colours are the new Mossy Meadow and Hello Honey, on a base of Naturals White. The leaves and butterflies are from a new set called "Kinda Eclectic", which I think will be a new favourite. As a finishing touch, I highlighted some leaves and stamens with Crystal Effects.
The greeting is from a set called "Gifts of Kindness" Sorry about the tilta head requirement, I forgot to rotate the pic before uploading.

Kinda Fun, Kinda Versatile, Kinda Eclectic!
I love Convention for the friends, the happy chatter and gathering, the business stuff, and the stampin! We are treated with lots of goodies from the upcoming catalogue, and while I can't show you that just yet, I can show you this card we made during one of the Make and Take sessions. It's using a new set called "Kinda Eclectic" and I think I'm in love - sort of grungy but elegant at the same time.
It also features some of the new In Colors, Mossy Meadow, Tangelo Twist, and Hello Honey
Let me know what you think :-)

APOLOGIES - Stampin' Crop for May CANCELLED
*STAMPIN' CROP DAY CANCELLED FOR THIS SATURDAY 10th MAY*
My poor neglected blog, my poor neglected stamps! I'd love nothing more than to immerse myself in a bit of crafting this weekend, but there are a few factors that make it a bad idea :-(
Firstly, it's Mother's Day weekend and several regulars are unable to attend.
Secondly, with about 10 days before Convention, I have a mountain of school work to complete before I can escape, as I didn't realise that reports are due this week, next week, and the week I am at Convention. Too much stress!
Apologies for those inconvenienced, but I hope you'll understand.
I've had a dig through my photos to see if I can show you something I've made recently, thank goodness for events like bridal showers that force me to squeeze in some crafty therapy. This one was made using the Watercolour Wonder Designer Notecard set, and was a fast and easy way to create something nice. I used the "Pomp and Circumstance" set with a little masking to put the brain under the trencher cap.
Watercolor Wonder Designer Note Cards & Envelopes can be found in the Seasonal Catalogue, code 133362. Contact me to order, or use the 'shop now' button at top right. | |||||||||||||
Price: $22.95 for ■ 20 printed cards on watercolor paper: 4 ea. of 5 designs ■ 20 Ivory envelopes ■ Card size: 3-1/2" x 5" |

And, to sweeten the deal even more, it is Sale-a-bration time as well! You can select from a range of products including stamp sets, punches, embossing folders, DSP, fun kits and more. Click on the Cover image at the right hand side, or download the PDF by clicking the SAB cover in this post to view. This year, you earn a free choice with each $90 spent on any current catalogue. It's also a great time to join me and my team, with extra value in the Starter Kit.
The photo in the middle of the post shows what can be made with one of the free products on offer, the Good As Gold card kit. Very quick, so easy, and a great gift - either assembled or left as a craft kit. Everybody needs Thank You cards, birthday cards etc, and this fits the bill in a most shiny, spotty way!

Christmas Classmate Gifts - Decorated Cookie Cutters
Was Christmas REALLY more than 6 weeks ago? I am sure I am not the only one who has found the new year to be rocketing by.
These are some photos of gifts I made for my children's classmates, and their teachers got some larger versions amongst their other goodies. I had seen some Cookie Cutter ornaments about, on Pinterest and my talented downline Clare McIlhatton's blog etc, and then I came across some lovely sets of German-made cutters at Aldi Supermarket, of all places! And at just $3.99 for a pack of 25, my mind instantly went into planning mode.
They are very simple to make, if a little fiddly and time consuming in places. The cost per ornament was very little, and I used up quite a few sparkly bits and bobs from my stash. The ornaments are glued onto sheets of retired Christmas Designer Series Papers, and cut out with a craft knife. I sanded back any scrappy bits, and inked the edges with a sponge. I used co-ordinating Washi Tape to wrap around the outside, making sure to have punched a hole for ribbon in the top with my Crop-a-dile first! I then used various bits of rhinestone, buttons, pearls, chipboard stars, and glimmer paper diecut "merry" from the Expressions Thinlits set. I packaged them up in cello bags with MDS designed card tags, and they were a big hit with the recipients. Hope you like them!
